Once upon a time, during America’s Golden Age of music, theatre, cinema, television production and the arts (mid 1950’s through early 1970’s), there was a unique high school in mid-town Manhattan called Quintano’s School for Young Professionals which offered teenagers working in these fields an unusual opportunity to become educated. A majority of these high school students graduated from The Mace School, the grammar school for professional children.

We are trying to establish an online community of alumni of Quintano’s School for Young Professionals and The Mace School with the purpose of reuniting old friends and preserving the history of the schools. If you attended either school please email me at
